　　Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT,surgical or chemical castration) is the mainstay treatment for metastatic PCa,but patients ineluctably relapse despite extremely low androgen levels.This evolution of prostate cancer indicates its lethal progression.In this study,to mimic the traits of clinical prostate cancer progression in vitro,we investigated the alteration of cell biological characteristics in LNCaP-AI cells (androgen independent LNCaP cells) compared with LNCaP cells,the effects of androgen exerts on LNCaP and LNCaP-AI cells proliferation,androgen receptor (AR) expression and prostate specific antigen (PSA) secretion.
