The frequencies and the modes of flying stepped beams are determined via a proposed semi-analytical approach.A scheme is proposed based on the continuity conditions at each step with same displacement, rotation, bending moment, shear force of both joining segments of the beam.A frequency equation is derived from the free-free-boundary conditions.The mode is determined for each frequency numerically solved from the frequency equation.
