Adverse effects of pharmacological inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) in colitis patients were reported.PGD2, one of downstream product of COX, was also seen as a pro-resolution factor in the development of colitis. But the role of its one of receptors, DP1,which mainly regulating the anti-inflammatory reaction, is less well understood. We investigated the expression of DP1 in biopsies from colitis patients and DSS-treated mice. The expression of DP1 was measured by immunofluorescence staining. The effect of DP1 in colitis was evaluated in a murine colitis model induced by dextran sulfate sodium (DSS).
