This study focuses on tectonic setting and diagenetic evolution of the Neogene Surma Group sandstones,Bengal Basin,Bangladesh.The Bengal Basin lies on the eastern side of the Indian subcontinent between the Shillong Plateau to thenorth and the Indo-Burman Ranges to the east and occupies most of Bangladesh and West Bengal (India) aswell as part of the Bay of Bengal.
