  The effects of riser inlet velocity (2.45-3.50 m/s), solid mass flux (25-67 kg/m2s) and particle size (52.83-140.7 μm) on decay constant and axial solid holdup profile were investigated in two circulating fluidized beds (CFBs) with 0.009rn-ID x 1.9m-high CFB and 0.0254m-ID × 4m-high CFB using FCC (Geldart A) particles as bed materials.The axial solid holdup in two CFBs increased with increasing solid mass flux and it rep resented simple exponential decay distribution.
