　　A large body of evidence shows that activation of glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) signaling enhances β-cell functions.We previously observed that geniposide was a novel agonist for GLP-1R; however, the function of this compound on β cell function remains unclear.In the present study, we have investigated the effect of geniposide on insulin secretion and insulin signaling pathway in rat insulin-secreting INS-1 cells.
