  Nowadays we are facing big societal challenges like growing (elder) population,concentration of the people in huge urban centres,globalization or change of climate.Thus resulting technological themes that have to be addressed: energy and resources,food,health,mobility and infrastructure or communication.Polymer processing is contributing a substantial share to those themes and to the economics and prosperity of the states.The fundamental function of polymer processing is transforming materials into products.The goal is to implement products successfully in the markets.In general it has to be stated that polymer processing is a highly developed technology and every new step forward is happening on a high level.
