A fourth-order rectangular waveguide filter with a fabrication bandwidth of 3.3%at a central frequency of 300GHz has been designed in this letter.The filter with Chebyshev response is synthesized in the form of four directly coupled rectangular cavities operating at TE101 mode.Full-wave modelling for this filter was optimized using an soft HFSS and the simulated result shows that the pass band return loss is better than 20dB and the insertion loss is as low as 0.1dB.The filter of simple structure has a good performance in the pass band,and steep edges in the stop band.
