　　Remotely detected lunar spinel was firstly found by Picters et al.(2011) using Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3)images in the inner ring of Moscoviense Basin.The origin of this new rock type is explained as Mg-rich magma intrusions into lower crust of the Moon (Pieters et al., 2011).
