Over 40% of the cost of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in China are incurred in Chinas complex distri bution network.The result is high drug prices, yet very little if any value, for the Chinese consumer.By compari son, in the US only about 3% of drug costs are incurred from distribution.Mr.Leonard Kish is the Vice President of Operations and Organizational Development for Capitis Healthcare International.Capitis was founded by the same team that developed what has become the Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) , which now handles more that $ 20 billion USD annually in medical supply transactions.A large part of the success of GHX comes from the standardi zation of medical product data that helped to integrate the medical supply chain, reduce costs and increase efficien cies for hospitals.
