Cellulose fibres have high modulus that has made them attractive for use in polymer composites, they are derived from renewable resources and they are biodegradable in contrast to the glass and carbon fibres typically used in composites.Cellulose fibres are available in various lengths from long bast and regenerated fibres, short wood flour fibres to nano-fibres such as microcrvstalline cellulose.Long fibres have a high aspect ratio for better performance in composites.
