Electromagnetic welding technology has gotten great developement as a new welding technology in recent years.The magnetic field which is used in welding process changes the plasma jet of arc column and radial distribution of arc density.A lot of researches show that the introduced magnetic field can give an effective intervention to the transition of droplet,flow of metal melt,nucleation and growth processes in molten bath.Researchers pay more attention to the application of magnetic field in welding process.However,the previous research work mainly focuses on the effect of magnetic field parameters on the property of surfacing clad layer.The present study will address the effect of shape and distribution of M7C3 on the wear resistance of iron based composites.
