NPR1 is not only a key transcriptional regulator in plant defense responses including salicylic acid(SA) mediated systemic acquired resistance(SAR) and induced systemic resistance(ISR), but also is involved in crosstalk of SA and jasmonic acid (JA)-mediated defense responses.In our study we identified and in silico cloned six wheat NPR1 homologs (WNPR1) including three homologs in group3 chromosomes (designed as W3SNPR1) and three homologs in group7 chromosomes (designed as W7SNPR1).
