  The volatile compounds of non-irradiated and 0.25,0.5,0.75 and 1 kGy electron-beam irradiated mandarin (Citrus unshiu) were isolated by simultaneous distillation-extraction (SDE) technique and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).A total of 50 volatile compounds were identified as chemical classes of acid (2),alcohol (6),aldehyde (5),ester (3),hydrocarbon (12),ketone (5),terpenoids (15) and miscellaneous (2) were identified in non-irradiated mandarin
