Nascent peptide chains go though a long exit tunnel in the ribosome after they are synthesized at the peptidyl transferase center (PTC)[1].The exit tunnel is cylinder‐like with 100(A)long and 10‐20 (A) wide. The crossing speeds of the peptide chains in it are about several amino acids per second as their synthesizing speeds on PTC.Therefore, the nascent peptide chain may start to fold within the exit tunnel.
