Objective: To determine whether the neurotoxin rotenone induces expression and release ofmicroglial proinflammatory cytokine interleukin-6 (IL-6), and whether the selective cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CysLT1R) antagonist has an inhibitive effect on rotenone-induced IL-6 production in an in vitro model of Parkinsons disease (PD).
