  The interval arithmetic and the perturbation methods for interval estimation are usually based on the assumption of small intervals.For interval estimation of finite element problem with interval variables,exact interval bounds of solution can only be evaluated using the optimization strategy or Monte Carlo simulation which relies upon repeated deterministic finite element analysis.
