Genome-wide association studies(GWAS) have been instrumental in identifying single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) responsible for human diseases or traits,which are regarded as a highly effective technology in the field of biomedicine.They are expected to identify genomic variants that influence the risk of human genetic diseases,and thus facilitate drug target identification and personalized therapy.
