One kind of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensor are made by encapsulating naked FBG with epoxy resin.Both a dynamic load experiment for 816h and two static load calibrations before as well as after dynamic load are done.The working performance of FBG sensor under long time dynamic load is achieved by analyzing the curves which describe the relationship between center wavelength of FBG sensor and the long time,in combination with the comparison of two curves that describe the relationship between center wavelength and load before and after the long time dynamic load.Results demonstrate that the center wavelengths of the sensor have a regular change with the increase of time when long time dynamic load is applied.The center wavelength has an obvious increase at the first stage,then,it continues to increase but with a gradually reduced increase velocity until no further change.Results from two static load calibrations show that strain of FBG sensor has well linear relationship with load both before and after dynamic load.The linear fit results show that slope of the fitted line after dynamic load is smaller than that before dynamic load.
