The detection of the degree of coronary artery obstruction, and the number of diseased vessels are important components of the diagnosis and management of patients with suspected and known CAD.The simplest method to identify the severity of disease in patients presenting with symptoms of CAD is exercise-induced ST segment depression during an electrocardiographic stress test.However, the sensitivity and specificity of this test still remain areas of controversy.
