Aims: Microsurgical decompression of peripheral nerves had been shown to be effective for diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN).Few studies,however,had focused on patients with painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (PDPN) of lower limbs.The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of microsurgical decompression of peripheral nerves on pain and health-related quality-of-life (HR-QOL) in patients with refractory PDPN of lower limbs.
