Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) technology is the key issue in modern precision agricultural application research.This paper reviewed the systems of GNSS,which included Global Positioning System (GPS),Global Orbiting Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS),Galileo and Compass Navigation Satellite System (CNSS),discussed the positioning principles and methods of GNSS.Combined with application of GNSS in Precision Agricultural,the details of farmland positioning,machinery operating navigation,position mode of airborne remote sensing were discussed separately.It can be draw that GNSS had been widely used in site positioning and ground survey.With the development of high precision of GNSS,the trajectory of the mechanical movement also can be position.At last of the paper,the prospect of modern precision agricultural was forecasted.The Compass Navigation Satellite System of China has been integrated in GNSS products with GPS.It showed the trend of GNSS development.More real-time (less than one second) and high precise position (centimeter-level) can be provided.
