  The active layer materials are of vital importance because they determine the maximum attainable current density,the highest open circuit voltage(VOC)of the corresponding solar cells.We report on the design and synthesis of a series of wide bandgap polymers based on ladder-type acenes with an inclusion of fluorene,carbazole,thiophene or indenothiophene units.
