Xenophagy is specific autophagic process by which a cell defends against pathogens such as bacteria and viruses.The NDP52 related to xenophagy is one of several autophagic receptor proteins.Its function is to move ubiquitylated pathogens or damaged vacuole coupled galectin-8 to autophagosome.It has consisted of three domain;SKICH, coiled-coil and UBZ.We suggest that the structure model of NDP52 is parallel orientation based on previous published data.To prove the model, orientation of NDP52 coiled-coil domain fused sspB was analyzed by size exclusion chromatography with multi angle light scattering (SEC-MALS) instead of crystal structure.Compared to results of known coiled-coil domains fused sspB, NDP52 exists parallel orientation.
