Background This study is conducted with the purpose of comparing the clinical effects of two strategies of catheter ablation therapy on patients with short-range persistent atrial fibrillation.Methods Fifty-six patients with persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) course within 2 years were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into two groups according to ablation strategies: CPVI + roof linear + mitral isthmus linear +tricuspid isthmus linear (CPVI + 3 linear) group and CPVI + roof linear + tricuspid isthmus linear (CPVI + 2 linear)group.The total ablation time, CPVI time, linear ablation time, X ray exposure time recurrence rate and incidence of atrial tachvcardia/atrial flutter were compared between these two groups.
