1 INTRODUCTION Some results have been achieved in the analysis of optimal performance of thermoelectric refrigeration units using finite-time thermodynamics [1’-1]. The actual thermoelectric refrigerator is often composed of many refrigeration units, which are multiple thermopile refrigerators. In this paper, the performance of a refrigerator composed of any number of thermoelectric units is analyzed, and the refrigerating efficiency considering the irreversibility of heat transfer, Joule effect and internal thermal conductivity is derived.
