Understanding the conditions that favour crystallization or vitrification has been a long-standing scientific endeavour.To the best of our knowledge (and to our great surprise), crystallization has never been reported to occur at atmospheric pressure in pure unseeded supercooled B2O3 and Na2O.Al2O3.6SiO2 (Albite).On the other hand, heterogeneous nucleation catalyzed by adequate nucleating agents should lead to observable crystallization above Tg.
