The catalytic performances of PdGa/β-Ga2O3 catalysts prepared by atomic layer deposition(ALD)and impregnation method were investigated in selective hydrogenation of acetylene to ethylene. The result of activity demonstrate that: when the Pd loading was 0.024%,the selectivity and conversion of catalyst prepared by impregnation method a bit better than that of catalyst prepared by atomic layer deposition. And when Pd loading was 0.16%,the catalytic activities of two catalysts were similar. In this study, two catalysts with different Pd precursors can be obtained by atomic layer deposition and impregnation method.Further, the different reduction degree PdGa/β-Ga2O3 catalysts were prepared by reduced in a hydrogen flow at 450℃ for 4h.H2-TPR、IR-CO、HRTEM and XPS were also used to investigate the catalysts.By combining these various approaches,we concluded that the alloying degree of PdGa/β-Ga2O3 catalysts was the most critical influences in selective hydrogenation of acetylene to ethylene. And the catalytic activities were also enhanced with decreasing the PdGa particle size.
