Background Urinary BTP mainly comes from situ synthesis in kidney or tubular resorption disorders.Recent studies indicated that BTP is almost entirely reabsorbed by renal glomerulus and then completely reabsorbed through the tubular.Considerable attention had been paid to BTP as a potential marker in detecting impaired kidney tubules.For the purposes of this work we were to investigate whether the ratio of urinary beta-trace protein and creatinine (BTP/Cr) has differences in gender and age.
