A series of non-polyether demulsifiers were prepared by micelle water solution polymerization with raw materials of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, styrene and so on.The demulsibility of the prepared crude oil-in-water emulsion was carried out by the above demulsifiers with the bottle test method. The effect of constitutes and structure of demulsifiers molecule on demulsibilities was studied by the experiment of demulsifying simulated crude oil emulsion. The experimental data indicate that the demulsibility of non-polyether demulsifiers containing hydrophilic group which have hydrophilic-lipophilic structure of molecules so as to reduce the intention of oil-water interface film and increase the activity of dynamic interface, exceed the counterpart of lipophilic demulsifiers which have not hydrophilic-lipophilic structure of molecules.Especially,non-polyether demulsifiers with the hydrophilic group of less than 20 weight percent in its molecular have prominent demulsibilities. And the data also indicate non-polyether demulsifiers which have phenyl group of 29 to 62 weight percentage have excellent demulsifying performance owing to good solubilization and intersolubility between the demulsifiers and natural emulsifier, especially such as asphaltene and pectin.Compared with the demulsibility of several industrial grade demulsifiers which fall into polyether demulsifiers, the non-polyether demulsifiers which contain the certain ratio of phenyl group in the molecular unit are excellent in the demulsibility of crude oil-in-water emulsion.
