This study of the native genius of the Site Planning of the Ancient City in Dvaravati Period (6th -13th centuries AD.) in the Central Plain area of Thailand is part of my research project Buddhist Architecture of the Dvaravati period: The Early Age of Thai Architectural History.The remains physical characteristics of the Dvaravati culture surviving to the present assumed to be the remains of Dvaravati art that appeared both in and out of the vast empty space surrounded by moat.There was no documentary evidence shown the concern of the understanding about concepts and methods of the city establishment of the predecessor which entitled "Dvaravati" by the historians.To do the study by adopting the principles of the site planning in architectural as the important of the infra-structure together with the data from satellite imagery have revealed the wisdom of intelligent in site planning by means of taking advantage of the valuable resources that exist,as for instance natural resources including forests,water and minerals,as well as a shelter or trap the monsoon winds.?Water management.In the area of the waterways within the city which is the water source at the foot of the plateau along the canals that flow into the city.And the route of the citys waste water into the low plains along the water.As well as digging a moat around the area.For consumption.Community both inside and outside.?Using the natural river route for water transportation both inside the communities and others.
