A principal component analysis (PCA) was carried out on the matrix of correlations among hip height measures of steers from seven crossbreds.Hip height (Ht) was recorded on 452 crossbred steers to examine the changes in height with time;at birth,pre weaning (approximately 180 d of age) weaning (approximately 270 d of age ),entry into the feedlot in (approximately 480 d of age) and feedlot remove (approximately 600 d of age).
