  The Daqing oilfield 1s a multi-layer, heterogeneous oilfield.As exploitation in this oilfield has continued to reach deeper levels, its heterogeneity has become more obvious, and it has already entered into the later stage of production of high water content.Many injection wells are protected by water shut-off and profile control measures[1].However, no single profile control agent or injection concentration has been able to meet oilfield development requirements.To further improve the overall exploitation effects of blocks, multiround profile control of water injection wells was implemented[2].A study was conducted to improve the effects of multi-round profile control.In terms of the injection process, timing of plugging, etc., this paper provides an in-depth analysis of the mechanism of multi-round profile control and its gradually decreasing effects.Then, based on the reasons for its decline, feasible countermeasures are suggested, such as choosing an excellent profile control option and optimizing the injection process.These measures were proven effective by means of indoor core experiments and oilfield application tests;they offer feasible technological support to sustain the development of the Daqing oilfield.
