Tcf is a transcription factor influencing the transcription of several genes thereby exerting a large variety of functions in the cell.Tcf is known for downstream mediator of canonical Wnt signaling pathway, which can regulate proliferation and patterning in the developing spinal cord.Although Wnt signaling is well characterized in neurogenesis, the distinct roles of Tcf in CNS remain virtually unknown.To analyze the function of Tcf, we used a Tg [hsp70:dnTcf:GFP] line which express dominant negative form of Tcf protein under the control of heat-shock inducible promoter.
