　　Mitochondrial dynamics is regulated by a group of fission and fusion proteins,which are abundant in the heart.However,mitochondrial dynamics is less active in adult cardiomyocytes compared to other cell types.This study is designed to explore the possible non-canonical roles of a master fission protein,dynamin related protein 1(Drp1)in the stressed heart.
