Objective:To compare the clinical effect of a new internal fixation system-bridge combined fixation system and locking compression plate in treatment of simple humeral fractures.Method: 68 cases of simple humeral fracture were divided into two groups :bridge combined fixation system group (group A,37 cases) and locking compression plate group (group B,31 cases).Record the operation time,intraoperative bleeding volume,the time of fracture healing and complications,Constant score of shoulder joint and Mayo score of elbow joint.Result: All patients were followed up for 12-24 months (average 16 months).In operative time,bleeding volume,shoulder and elbow function score,the difference among the two groups were not statistically significance (P>0.05).fracture healing time of group A is shorter than group B,the nonunion rate was lower than group B,the difference among the two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05,table 1).The two groups had no radial nerve injury,wound infection and other complications.Conclusion :The Treatment of simple humeral shaft fracture with the new internal fixation system and locking compression plate both had achieved satisfactory clinical effect.The new method was more convenient in operation,which could reduce the damage of the blood supply of fracture and was beneficial to fracture healing.
