Objective:To study the patterns of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) of thoracic aneurysm.Methods:To review 261 patients underwent reconstruction of the thoracic aorta with CPB in our department between Dec.1991 and Dec.2006.Results:Eighty four patients presented post-operative complications,and 38 patients died.Thoracic bleeding,low cardiac output syndrome,arrhythmia,multiple organ failure,and brain injury are major causes of postoperative morbidity and mortality.
