Effects of simulated dust and sand environment on the performance of photovoltaic modules

　　With the development of the materials performance and production process,the chance to pass the criteria of IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 becomes higher and higher.Obviously,the IEC standards have been considered as the threshold of the minimum requirements for PV modules to access to the international markets.However,the PV modules work in various conditions such as in coastal areas,livestock farming,even in the desert areas,which will seriously affect their lifetime.T(u)V NORD,therefore,intends to simulate the dust and sand environment according to the IEC60068-2-68 method Lc and study the abrasive effects of PV modules under special environmental conditions.Test sequence was set up for 2 full size modules with 60Pcs poly-solar cell.Meanwhile,combine with IEC61215,I EC 61730 and IEC 61701,the output power measurement,insulation & dielectric withstand test,grounding continuity test and bypass diode functionality test will be carried out.
