　　As a promising material for dentistry and orthopaedic surgery,hydroxyapatite(HAP)has been widely applied for several decades.In recent years,the functional element doped HAP has attracted significant interests for researchers.Selenium is an essential trace element in human body.The selenium doped hydroxyapatites(Se-HAP)were synthesized and characterized.The in vitro studies demonstrated that Se-HAP could induce apoptosis of cancer cells.However,the doping mechanism of Se-HAP remains unclear.
