Classic epistemic logic focuses on propositional knowledge(knowing that p).However,various kinds of knowledge are used in everyday life,which suggest non-standard but interesting new modal operators.In this talk,we survey our line of work on modal logics based on “knowing whether” and “knowing what” operators.These new logics are not normal due to the lack of standard modal axioms,which require new techniques to handle.As the main results,we give complete axiomatizations to various modal logics based on these new operators,and dynamify them using public announcements to incorporate knowledge updates.This talk is based on joint works with Jie Fan and Hans van Ditmarsch.
