We have demonstrated a strategy, combining cage-proteins with a synthetic nano-material, to construct a truffle-structured nano-complex that is proven to be by far the most active artificial redox enzyme.The modification on the surface of the nano materials has changed the intrinsic properties of individual building blocks, conferring a superb redox activity of the complex.In addition, the cage proteins carry their biology identities to the complex to initiate an endocytosis process, improving its biological compatibility.The strategy used in this work can be further extended to other bionano-system to gain desired functions and applications.
