  We derive a new kinetic theory for age-structured populations undergoing a semi-markov birth-death process.A high-dimensional transport equation is derived for the probability density for any number of individuals with specified age ranges.Different structural forms required for different processes such as birth-death,branching,and sexual reproduction are highlighted.Our equations form a series analogous to that of the BBGKY hierarchy.We show how low-moment closure leads to the classic deterministic McKendrick equation.
