Many studies focused on the species regeneration process in forest gap.However,the effect of gap creation to physiological and metabolic level,especially for understory plants is still unclear.To elucidate the effect of gap thinning to various plants.The present study chose three co-occuring plants of different life forms growing at three different circumstances(understory,small gap_extended area 80m2 and large gap_110m2) Leaf non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) content and components were analysed by HPLC—ELSD to indicate the capital of growth.
