Juglans mandshurica Maxim (Juglandaceae) is a famous folk medicine for cancer treatmentand some natural compounds isolated from it have been studied extensively.Previously wehave isolated a kind of polyunsaturated fatty acid (JA) from the bark of Juglans mandshurica,however, whether it has anti-tumor effects and the underlying mechanisms remain unknown.
