　　In this talk,we propose a radial basis function discretization of the closest point method that may be used to approximate reaction-advectiondiffusion equations on smooth or folded surfaces.The method has a priori error bounds in terms of percentage of the norm of the solution and has extensions to more general flows and surfaces.A number of numerical experiments are provided.
