In anuran amphibians, mating without amplexus is known for less than six species. Here we provide a new example of simultaneous polyandry with multiple males not engaged in amplexus based on behavioral and genetic evidence in Feirana kangxianensis,a stream-dwelling species that distributes only in the Kangxian County, southern Gansu Province, where it is sympatric to its sibling species F.quadrana.
