In the modern times, as increasingly more ecological restaurants set their feet on earth, the functions of the ecological space attain a very rapid expansion without a stopping trend.Therefore, nowadays, the ecological spaces are not only in existence in the greenhouses or are used to cultivate the fresh vegetables as well as the beautiful flowers in plastic tents, but also have changed into the green and healthy places, which possess a great number of the functions at the present time.In this paper, the author carries out a detailed analysis on the development situation as well as the designing ideas of the ecological restaurants of the modern times, and then gives an introduction to the methods of designing the ecological restaurant from the five aspects in the following: (1) the greenhouse is the principal architecture of the ecological restaurants; (2) the gardening landscape is the largest bright point of the ecological restaurants; (3) the food and beverage service is the most importance function for the smooth operation of the ecological restaurants; (4) the environmental regulation system is one of the most importance guarantees for the favorable operation of the ecological restaurants.
