  Being sequestered into cell lysosome is a large obstacle to reduce the side effects and improve the efficacy for platinum anticancer drugs.Herein,we designed a photosensitizing monofunctional Pt Ⅱ complex Pt-BDPA derived from a weak BODIPY(boron-dipyrromethene)-derived photosensitizer BDPA with the purpose to enhance its cytotoxicity via lysosomal escape with a short time photo-irradiation.The synergistic effect between Pt Ⅱ and BDPA increased the generation of reactive oxygen species and promoted the amount of the platinum delivery into the nucleus.Besides,Pt-BDPA can also break the lysosomal membrane and increase access to nuclear DNA by producing ROS upon two-photon light irradiation.
