A cleaner chromite decomposition process by ammonium sulfate roasting method was introduced in this paper to produce Cr2O3.A certain amount of ammonium sulfate was mixed with chromite, and the mixture was roasted at a certain temperature to realize Cr phase transform, generating water-soluble chromium ammonium sulfate (NH4Cr(SO4)2), intensifying the leaching of Cr from the refractory chromite.
