Objective: A meta-analysis was used to compare the short-term outcomes between harmonic scalpel and conventional resection for parotid tumor.Methods: Original articles were searched in electronic databases(MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Chinese, CBM, and Wanfang Database).According to the inclusion criterion, four articles were enrolled.These articles compared the short-term outcomes between harmonic scalpel and conventional resection for parotid tumor.Meta-analysis of acquired data was performed using RevMan 5.2 software.
